As our members will know, Uplands School has entered a consultation process to look at joining the Beacon Academy Trust.

Following member meetings where we discussed the proposals and GMB listened to your views, we are now balloting you on taking further action, should the consultation progress towards academisation. 

This vote is completely confidential.  Please note that the ballot closes on Wednesday (23^rd June).

Voting in favour of strike action would not result in action immediately, but a further formal strike ballot would then be conducted should members vote in favour of this and should the school progress to academise.

Please take the time to vote as it is important we have every member vote so we know what you as the union wish to do.
