Consultative Ballot on the Academisation of Peacehaven Heights and Telscombe Cliffs Primary Schools

The GMB trade union feels that the IEB decision to revive the prospect of converting Peacehaven Heights primary and nursery school along with Telscombe primary school into an academy is a backward step which would be the wrong decision for the school and the support staff. 

It is for this reason that the GMB is consulting with you (the members) on starting the process of organising a ballot for industrial action.

This is not a ballot for industrial action.

A yes vote does not mean that you will be asked to take part in any type industrial action following this ballot.

A yes vote simply gives the GMB the permission from the members to organise a ballot for industrial action. 

The GMB would urge you to give your permission to allow the lawful industrial action ballot to be organised.  

The ballot will run for two weeks and close on Friday 29th January 2021.
