Housing Solutions Ballot 2023

GMB has been negotiating with Housing Solutions management to secure our members a decent pay rise for 2023/24.

Management has proposed the following pay award:

An organisational pay award of 6.5% to be applied to all eligible employee groups including the DLO as follows:

  • Basic pay for each trade (developing and technically competent).
  • Call out and out of hours standby rates.
  • Sickness rates.

The new salaries will be converted into an hourly rate by trade as has been the case in previous years.

The Board have also approved paying the real living wage of £21,028 per annum FTE as a minimum, effective from 1 April 2023.  Although the Maintenance Team are already paid in excess of this level, it will result in the Apprentices receiving an additional pay increase from the national living wage to the real living wage.

In recognition of the cost-of-living challenges, the Board have also approved a one off cost of living payment of £500 to all colleagues, regardless of their length of service or basic hours worked.

Separately to the pay award process, Housing Solutions will be completing a market salary review for all positions in 2023/2024 to ensure that our rates of pay remain within a competitive range.

Management are also keen to stress the value of the colleague benefit package, the details of which you can see here.

GMB are now asking you to indicate below whether you would like to accept or reject this pay offer.  The ballot closes at 12noon on Thursday 1st June, so fill in your ballot as soon as possible to make sure you cast your vote in time.
