Following GMB members rejecting the offer of a 7.5% increase in basic pay, management have improved their offer to an 8% increase. The rate for the Driver/Bearer role will therefore increase to £10.42 per hour.
They have also confirmed that, while the annual uniform allowance does not form part of pay negotiations, the current rates will be improved effective from April 2023:

The company have made it clear that this is their final position, and GMB feels that this is the best offer that can be achieved through negotiation. If members vote to reject this offer, we will be proceeding to a formal industrial action ballot.
