Striking South London hospital workers march to Trust HQ

Two hundred hospital workers are taking their third day of strike action tomorrow and more than half of these are expected on a demonstration as follows:

When: Gathering at 10:30 to set off marching at 11:00

Where: Assembling on Camberwell Green before marching to Maudsley Hospital (SE5 8AZ).

Members will assemble on Camberwell Green before marching to Trust headquarters at the Maudsley Hospital as part of their strike action to oppose cuts to hours imposed by their employer, OCS.

Members will be speaking at the rally outside the Maudsley and will be available for interview.

Helen O’Connor, GMB Senior Organiser said:

“GMB members will never be demoralised by the tactics of OCS.

“They have attended picket lines across South London and Maudsley Trust (SLaM) in large numbers despite the most intense anti-union victimisation we have seen.

“Their strike has shut down key parts of the service and they will escalate their action further if OCS doesn't reinstate our members who have been unfairly dismissed by the savage cuts implemented across the contract.”
